A catch-all feature that is activated for a given mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To put it differently, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped address under the exact same domain, you will receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running some company, for instance. Since you may begin receiving spam messages, you can use the catch-all feature with email filters in order to receive only authentic email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a few functions, but it’s stunningly user-friendly, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select another mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to set up a catch-all email mailbox without any efforts even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve set up with your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will inform you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
